Coronavirus Response in Afghanistan
MMCC produces and distributes innovative masks and face shields, setting up hand-sanitizing stations, made from recycled plastic bottles and painting social distancing rings in public places. These are all being donated to hospitals, IDP camps, as well as to people on the streets, in the hope that everyone is able to protect themselves. The hand sanitizing stations are installed in the IDP camps where people are most vulnerable, as well as various locations close to bakeries and pharmacies.

CONTENTCOVID-19 has already had a devastating global effect - but the impact has been particularly severe upon Afghanistan. Their lack of basic sanitation such as masks, face-shields and even access to soap and water as well as lack of information about preventive habits make the country's citizens far more exposed to the dangers of the virus.
